How to Play & Cost
To play Powerball Plus, you must first enter the main Powerball draw (R5.00). You then tick the "Powerball Plus" option on your betslip for an additional R2.50 per board. The exact same numbers you chose for the main draw are entered into the Plus draw.
Draw Days & Times
The Powerball Plus draw takes place immediately after the main Powerball draw on Tuesdays and Fridays at 21:00 SAST. Ticket sales close at 20:30 SAST sharp on the day of the draw.
Odds & Payouts
Because the mechanics are identical (5/50 + 1/20), the odds of winning the jackpot are the same as the main draw: 1 in 42,375,200. However, because tickets cost half the price, the prize payouts and jackpots are generally lower.

Can I play Powerball Plus without playing the main Powerball?
No. Powerball Plus is exclusively an add-on game. You must purchase a main Powerball entry first before you can opt-in to the Plus draw. The total minimum cost to play both is R7.50 per board.
Can I pick different numbers for the Plus draw?
No. The numbers you select for the main Powerball draw are exactly the same numbers that are entered into the Powerball Plus draw. It acts as a literal "second chance" for your chosen numbers.
What happens if no one wins the Powerball Plus jackpot?
Just like the main game, the jackpot rolls over to the next draw. It will continue to roll over and grow until a player matches all 5 numbers and the Powerball.
